Hello and Welcome to my Site
I discovered woodworking in my teen years and have loved working with wood from then on. It took years to build up a full woodworking shop. Part of the fun was building it, and re formatting it along the way. All though most of the things I made turned out pretty good, I could never quite accomplish what was in my head for ideas. In the past few years I have discovered CNC Machines, C02 Laser Machines, Laser Diodes, Drag Knifes, Engraving, 3D Printers and all the software and hardware that goes along with all of these tools. So, I sold most of my conventional woodworking equipment and have invested in these various tools.
Having made the change to these various tools has given me the ability to make things I could have never accomplished with my conventional equipment. Some say it's not true woodworking, but that's OK with me. I just like to make things that I have in my imagination. I wish I had the ability to do the things I do now with these machines by hand, but as hard as I tried over the years, I just couldn't perfect it. I admire the people who have the ability.
For the products I have listed in my store, most of the time I use Pine because it gives me the ability to be creative in the staining process. I can start light and work my way to darker colors in order to highlight features of the carvings, and engravings. A lot of the time I’m using 3 to 5 different colors or shades of colors in order to achieve the effects I’m looking for. Sometimes I use a knotted Pine for a more rustic look and other times I use a higher quality Aspen Pine with no knots in it. If I need a harder wood, I like to use Poplar, because it carves really nice when using the CNC machines. If a customer what’s Oak, Maple, Hickory, or more exotic woods, that’s fine, I can work with those as well. It does get rather expensive though.
So it's been about three years in the making, but I think I have it down to producing some nice products. I have always wanted to sell products that people would get enjoyment out of so I'm giving it a go. I must admit that I'm not the most creative guy out there, so It's nice when someone comes along with an idea. A lot of the time, most people don't know how to bring there ideas to life. That's where I come in. Most of the time I can produce what others are imagining. I get enjoyment out of making there imagination come to life.
So far I'm starting with some things that I like, but I now have the ability to produce something that you may like. If your interested, I can produce an image of the fished product before making it. It would give you a very good representation of what the fished product would look like. If you have an idea in your imagination of something you would like for yourself or as a gift to someone in your life, please feel free to contact me and we can work together to see if we can make it real. I don't charge anything for helping with this process. If I can bring to life the imagination of others, my reward is being able to produce what a customer would like. I only charge for shop time, not design time.
Hence the name of my shop, Wooden It Be Nice If...
Please feel free to contact me if you would like to have me give it a go at bringing your ideas to life.
Thanks for visiting my site and I hope you find something you like. If you would like to make a purchase, please visit my ESTY Store.
